General Summary of Position
Provide technical assistance for the Division of Marine Operations. Incumbent inspects, maintains, repairs and modifies all types of related equipment such as floats, piers, gangways, moorings, boats and Fox Point Pavilion. Has a working knowledge of hand and power tools, welding and fabricating of various types of metals as well as the ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and manuals. Ability to work in all types of weather conditions and be available for off-hour work requirements.

Incumbent reports directly to the Director of Marine Operations or their designee, employees of higher grade, who provide technical and policy guidance.
Incumbent works with student staff to train and supervise them in their day-to-day activities; supervises contractors on project from start to finish.

Average number of student employees supervised at any given time: 0-10
