The (Co-Production and Student/Community Engagement) Program Coordinator for the Asian American Studies Program (AsAmSt) supports the storytelling project development, creative media co-production, student development, curricular integration and civic engagement of AsAmSt faculty, staff and students, together with AsAmSt alumni and local community constituencies. The incumbent works with a high degree of independence and integrated skill sets as a primary staff of a dynamic, interdisciplinary, academic unit with long-term goals of knowledge co-production, capacity-building, and educational transformation, particularly for under-resourced, metro-Boston Asian American students and communities.
Senior Research Associate Gerontology Institute
The LeadingAge LTSS Center @UMass Boston in the Gerontology Institute was created to combine the expertise of applied and academic researchers with the unique perspectives of providers and consumers of long-term services and supports (LTSS). The center conducts research aimed at transforming the way LTSS are financed, delivered, and experienced by older adults and their families. The Center conducts research and analysis, and works with policymakers and practitioners to advance innovation and quality improvements in policy and practice. To that end, the LTSS Center conducts research to advance issues in six major LTSS areas including: Workforce; Housing with services; Nursing homes; Financing; Aging and health; and Consumer engagement. Over the seven years, the LTSS Center has become a leading thought leader on issues affecting the financing and delivery of services to older Americans in need of LTSS services. The LTSS Center also braids together threads of community engagement, student training, and scholarship to create a fun and collaborative place to work. The Senior Research Associate within the LTSS Center will be responsible for a variety of research-related activities including (1) initiating and assisting in the development of new research projects; (2) developing publications, blogs, webinars, and other dissemination activities to publicize the Center’s research findings; (3) provide project management support for various research initiatives in the Center; (4) collaborate with researchers in both the Boston and Washington, DC Offices, and (5) independently manage specific research projects. In short, the Senior Research Associate works with high degree of independence in initiating, assisting, seeking funds for, and carrying out research projects.
Assistant Professor (Marine Ecology) Biology
The Biology Department in the College of Science and Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts Boston seeks to hire an Assistant Professor in the field of Marine Ecology to begin September 1, 2025. Successful candidates will be expected to undertake externally funded research in marine ecology defined broadly and to satisfy important teaching needs of the Department of Biology in ecology, zoology, conservation biology, and/or evolution. Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent degree and relevant postdoctoral research experience. Assistant Professor (Data Science and Applied Mathematics) Mathematics

Deputy Director of Utilities Facilities Admin
The Deputy Director of Utilities oversees the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and engineering support of the Utility Plant and energy distribution across the campus. This role involves supervising Utility Plant Operators, ensuring safe and reliable delivery of utilities, and providing guidance for skill enhancement and success among the workforces. Responsibilities include implementing training programs for staff improvement, maintaining compliance with laws and regulations, and participating in campus planning and budgeting processes. Department Grant Administrator II Institute Community Inclusion
The Departmental Grant Administrator (DGA) is a three-level series that supports the Institute for Community Inclusion and the School for Global Inclusion and Social Development. This series will provide routine oversight and management of the research grant portfolios of multiple Principal Investigators (PI’s) by researching, preparing, and monitoring externally funded grants, contracts and cooperative agreements. The Departmental Grant Administrator will be responsible for account maintenance; processing personnel actions; forecasting, expenditure reporting, as well as account allocations; and maintaining grant records in compliance with university and research sponsor policies. The incumbents will work closely with each PI on all aspects of the administration of his/her research project, including provision of analysis and modifications and assisting with special projects, when needed. The Departmental Grant Administrator will work in collaboration with the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) and other central administrative units at the University; and may supervise other grants administration staff.

Assistant Vice Chancellor, Academic Administration and Financial Services Provost & VC Acad Affairs
Reporting to the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and working closely with the Vice Chancellor for Administration & Finance, the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Administration and Financial Services, provides a wide range of complex leadership, managerial, organizational, administrative and professional duties including: advancing the university vision, mission and strategic plan in relation to business and research support operations; providing key support and facilitation for implementing the university’s new activities-based budget model; identify and enable administrative and financial process efficiencies for sustained cost-effective service delivery in coordination with Administration and Finance; coordinating new and continuing academic program fiscal planning, projects and period review; providing leadership for strategic initiatives, including working with the deans, vice provosts, associate provosts, institute directors, faculty and staff in complex, collaborative research planning and support; and serving as a primary financial liaison between Administration and Finance and the Division of Academic Affairs. University Police Officer candidates must have successfully completed a Massachusetts Basic Police Training Program from an accredited police academy, approved by the Municipal Police Training Council (MPTC) or have successfully completed training that is substantially equivalent to or greater than that of a Massachusetts police officer at a comparable level of experience to obtain an academy exemption through the MPTC.
