The College of Science & Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Inorganic Chemistry in the Chemistry Department to begin September 1, 2025. Applicants must have a PhD in chemistry, or a related scientific field, with a track record in experimental inorganic chemistry, broadly defined. Assistant Professor (Quantum Information Science) Physics
The Department of Physics in the College of Science and Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applicants for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor to pursue a research program focusing on experimental research in the fields of Quantum Information Science to begin September 1, 2025. We will prioritize candidates whose research complements existing strengths in theoretical Quantum Science and Technology research within the department. Candidates whose research also has potential overlap with experimental research in the department (as an example: applications of quantum sensing to biophysics) are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant is expected to establish an externally funded research program, direct the research of students at the doctoral, masters, and undergraduate levels, and interact effectively with colleagues within the Physics Department and across the College of Science and Mathematics. The Biology Department in the College of Science and Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts Boston seeks to hire an Assistant Professor in the field of Marine Ecology to begin September 1, 2025. Successful candidates will be expected to undertake externally funded research in marine ecology defined broadly and to satisfy important teaching needs of the Department of Biology in ecology, zoology, conservation biology, and/or evolution. Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent degree and relevant postdoctoral research experience. Assistant Professor (Art & Art History) Art
The Art and Art History Department in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning September 1, 2025 in the area of Printmaking and will oversee our spacious, state of the art printmaking facility and to teach key courses in our studio art curriculum— undergraduate intaglio and relief printing processes. The print studio has three presses, including a new Takach Etching press. The applicant should be an artist with a record of creative practice in print and a working knowledge of related art forms such as digital printmaking, photography, drawing and book arts. Knowledge of contemporary approaches to printmaking and its art historical significance is also essential.

We seek to enhance those strengths with a candidate whose expertise in American racial formations during the 16th-18th centuries will expand and diversify not only our curriculum, but also the research and service of our departmental community.
