Robert T. Seeley Visiting Assistant Professorship
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a Robert T. Seeley Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning September 1, 2026. This is a one-year non-tenure track position which is renewable for a second year (contingent upon availability of funding and satisfactory performance). It carries a teaching load of 1-1. The research area of interest is open to all fields of pure and applied mathematics closely related to those in the department of mathematics. Candidates should be authorized to work in the United States and have received a PhD by the time the position starts, and they should show outstanding promise of research ability as well as a capacity for effective teaching. UMass Boston expects to pay within an approximate range between $70,000 and $90,000 for this position.
The specific pay for this position will be determined by the University based on the consideration of all relevant factors when and if it decides to extend an offer of employment.
