General Summary: 

The StrongStart Statewide Professional Development Centers Manager is responsible for overseeing and supporting the five regional StrongStart Professional Development Centers(PDCs) across the state.The StrongStart Statewide Professional Development Centers Manager will provide guidance, support, and monitoring for the regional PDC Coordinators.

Examples of Duties: 

  • Oversee and support Professional Development Centers (PDC) to meet all requirements
  • Develop a collaborative team with the PDCs to implement StrongStart
  • Supervise the Region 6 PDC Coordinator
  • Provide support, guidance, and monitoring of PDC Coordinators in all regions
  • Engage PDCs in transition planning as well as the implementation of a new regional infrastructure
  • Work with the Grant Coordinators and the transition team to establish a sustainable StrongStart T/TA implementation plan that leverages diverse modes of communication, a centralized calendar, and well-defined benchmarks to ensure that all stakeholders understand what services are available to them.
  • Work with Coaching System Manager and Training and Industry Navigation Manager to ensure that whenever possible training is aligned with continued technical assistance
  • Maintain weekly communication with all PDCs during the first 6 months of the grant period, at a minimum, to ensure that the provision of required and priority trainings is maintained during the transition period and beyond.  Communicate this progress to the transition team and Grant Coordinators.
  • Work with regional PDC Coordinators to establish a complete annual calendar of required and priority trainings in each region, to be distributed to all ECE/OST programs
  • Maintain clear and close communication with Grant Coordinators
  • Ensure that PDCs deliver services in accordance with all requirements of the grant through supporting, training, monitoring activities with PDCs
  • Support ongoing capacity building for PDCs on factors that affect equitable access to and engagement in T/TA. 
  • Work with PDC Coordinators and transition team to develop a protocol for consistent, ongoing communication about StrongStart T/TA services with all EEC-licensed ECE/OST providers across the state.
  • Support PDCs with producing customized, on-demand reports that focus on those needs assessment data. Meet with PDC staff to discuss these findings quarterly and use them to make decisions about regional training and technical assistance delivery.  If PDC’s quarterly data benchmarks that are not met, support the development and implementation of an action, plan to address areas needing improvement.
  • Support PDCs in using protocols and procedures established by Grant Coordinators, UMDI, and EEC to view program-level data
  • Consult with PDCs about the development of regional conferences, professional development days, and professional learning community events that are linked to evaluation data, reinforce successes and addresses challenges in each region.


Master’s degree and 10 years of experience working in educational settings.
