Associate Director of External Events & Summer Programs Campus Center Operations
The Associate Director of External Events and Summer Programs leads the planning and execution of high-impact events and summer programs for external clients. Operating as a member of the Campus Center & Event Services department, this role builds strong partner relationships, ensures exceptional service delivery, and coordinates cross-campus communications and logistics. The position also oversees youth program compliance and drives operational excellence across all external-facing initiatives.
Assistant Director for Sport Performance Athletics
As a key member of the Holistic Performance Team, the Assistant Director for Sport Performance will serve as the assistant strength and conditioning coach and is responsible for establishing and maintaining strength and conditioning programs for all assigned sports, while collaborating and executing with a greater team of performance professionals to achieve optimal performance outcomes for student-athletes. This responsibility includes but is not limited to injury reduction, creating a safe training environment, improving athletic performance, teaching technique, supervising training sessions, motivating student-athletes, mobility/recovery training, continuing education, assisting teams, student-athlete testing/evaluation. This position will collaborate and work cooperatively with coaches, athletic trainers, performance team members, university partners in performance, and athletic department staff. The Assistant Director for Sport Performance is responsible for maintaining the Dan Rea ’70 Boston State College Varsity Training Facility and for upholding the mission, core values, standards, policies, plans, and procedures for the safe and professional operation of the facility.
Grants and Contracts Admin I-III Research & Sponsored Programs
The Grant and Contract Administrator (GCA) is a four-level series. This series supports faculty and staff from assigned units with both pre- and post-award (non-financial) project management and provides assistance to other Grant and Contract Administrator staff, as needed and as their levels dictate. The GCA role is vital in the success of sponsored research in that they provide daily supervision over all proposals and awards. S/he will work closely with faculty and departmental staff to educate them about how to best achieve successful funding by reviewing and advising on sponsor regulations and institute policies and procedures. The GCA understands the unique processes involved in the overall research effort and has the ability to comprehend the needs of the individual researchers and department business managers. The GCA works with the Principal Investigators (PIs) and department business managers to cultivate research proposals; submits research proposals to sponsors; negotiates acceptable award terms; ensures timely set-up of awards; oversees transactions related to grant/contract management; and maintains grant/contract records in compliance with university and research sponsor policies. The GCA assists with identifying potential funding sources; preparing and submitting project proposals; preparing and submitting budgets and progress reports; processing and monitoring project expenditures; training of departmental grants staff; and maintaining compliance with university policies and procedures, sponsor requirements, terms and conditions, and federal regulations regarding research involving human and animal subjects. Director Community Standards Dean of Students
Under the direction of the Associate Dean of Students, the Director of Community Standards will manage the day-to-day operations of the student conduct process for the University and will assist the Dean of Students Office in sensitive and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)-protected online record management, audits and reporting. The incumbent will be responsible for tracking, auditing and closing conduct cases utilizing specialized software; assisting in the management of the Student Conduct Hearing Board, including member recruitment, training, selection and scheduling; serving as the organizer of external data requests; adjudicating conduct cases; coordinating and managing compliance records; and, auditing student life case management processes for the Dean of Students Office and the affiliated offices and departments supervised by the Dean of Students. Additionally, the incumbent will collaborate with campus partners and will contribute to Student Affairs and Campus Life initiatives and projects. This position is identified as a Title IX Responsible Employee and a Clery Campus Security Authority (CSA).
Depart Grant Administrator II Institute Community Inclusion
The Departmental Grant Administrator (DGA) is a three-level series that supports proposal development, award management and compliance oversight throughout the grant lifecycle. This series will provide department level administrative and operational management of the externally funded award portfolios of Principal Investigators (PI’s). The DGA will be responsible for proposal development and award management including application development, account set-up and monitoring, personnel and non-personnel transactions including personnel appointments and procurement. Award management activities including budget management, spending plan development, account tracking, financial reports and award modifications while maintaining award records in compliance with university and sponsor policies as well as applicable federal, state and local policies. The incumbents will work closely with each PI on all aspects of the administration of their proposals and awards, including portfolio analysis and assisting with special projects and programmatic coordination, when needed. Departmental Grant Administrators will work under the overall supervision of the SGISD Director of Finance and in collaboration with ORSP and other central administrative units at the University and may supervise other department grant administration staff. The position currently open in this series is: • Departmental Grant Administrator II. The DGA II is the second, early career level professional job in this series.
Library Coordinator II Healey Library
The Library Coordinator II will charge, renew and discharge library books and materials; aid library users in locating and using materials; monitor the borrowing of materials; verify the proper location of books and materials; and perform related work as required. The basic purpose of this work is to aid in the maintenance, preparation, distribution and lending of library books and other materials.

The Director of the Early Educator Leadership Network is responsible for creating and executing strategies that engage and strengthen relationships with alumni who are graduates of the Early Education Leaders Institute programs at UMass Boston. One Stop Advisor One Stop Student Serv Ctr
One Stop Service Advisors perform a vital role in assisting and educating students to navigate administrative processes related to financial aid, billing, and registration. They will provide convenient and thorough support and care through a variety of service channels including walk-in, phone, email, live chat and virtual meetings. They will be available to teach students how to access and use technology for self-service and will provide basic advising and information on university programs, requirements, academic policies, and student rights and responsibilities. They will work with students to solve problems related to systems, policies, or procedures, especially the most complicated or those that overlap a variety of administrative areas, are dynamic and interconnected. The Service Advisor will leverage university resources, attend trainings and meetings, read emails and updates, and utilize the university website to ensure that they are aware of policy/practice changes, important dates and deadlines, and opportunities for students. Given the frontline nature of the Service Advisors role, they will also provide valuable feedback and contribute to quality control, improving communications, policy review and revision and make recommendations on opportunities to improve the administrative experience for students.

Graphic Arts Technician II Quinn Graphics
The Large Format & Print Specialist within Quinn Graphics will be responsible for print and installation of large format posters, banners, custom wallpaper, wayfinding and directional signage; assisting customers in the selection of presentation materials; processing print requests; and facilitating the production schedule of print jobs on the large format and production printers, and the associated finishing equipment. The incumbent will operate large format and production printers, laminators, trimmers, contour cutters, review graphic design files for appropriate format settings, and utilize the department’s internal print management, cost estimating and billing system (MIS). Incumbent also supervises the work of student employees; provide on-the-- job training to new staff, provide assistance to the overall operations of the department as needed.
General Ledger Systems & Info Admin Controller's Office
The General Ledger Systems and Management Information Administrator reports to the Controller and is responsible for configuration of the general ledger financial system for the campus, particularly the management of financial system tables, translation rules and structure that supports business processes, financial reporting, and system security. The position is also responsible for monitoring financial system operational and transactional status, identifying and analyzing system-based issues, and designing operational and technical solutions. In the case of general ledger system upgrades or replacement, The General Ledger Systems and Management Information Administrator will act as the GL Campus Liaison and participate in university wide meetings ensuring upgrade/implementation deadlines are met.
Utility Plant Operator Facilities Admin
The Utility Plant Operator, within the Facilities Department, is responsible for operating, maintaining and repairing heating and air conditioning chiller systems, boilers and auxiliary machinery and equipment; operating electronic controls for heating and air conditioning systems; and for monitoring general, mechanical and/or electrical repairs on power distribution, chilled water, hot water, gas, domestic and de-ionized water, environmental rooms, freezers, fire alarm, remote building equipment monitoring, sanitary, acid waste and storm drain systems; respond to emergencies or equipment breakdowns; maintain adequate supply of fuel; and perform related work as required. The basic purpose of this work is to operate, monitor, maintain and repair utility systems and equipment and that the power plant facility is operated and maintained safely and efficiently. The Utility Plant Operator position is considered to be an Essential Personnel as defined by and detailed in the contract between the University and the Classified Staff Union (CSU).
Assistant Professor (English) English
The English Department seeks an Assistant Professor specializing in Early Modern Literatures (1500-1800), beginning September 1, 2026. Scholars with research interests in Critical Race Studies, Gender and Sexuality, or Disability Studies, and a commitment to teaching the early modern past—canonical and underrepresented texts alike—from BIPOC, feminist, queer, and/or trans perspectives are especially encouraged to apply.
