Depart Grant Administrator II in UMass Boston
The Departmental Grant Administrator (DGA) is a three-level series that supports proposal development, award management and compliance oversight throughout the grant lifecycle. This series will provide department level administrative and operational management of the externally funded award portfolios of Principal Investigators (PI’s). The DGA will be responsible for proposal development and award management including application development, account set-up and monitoring, personnel and non-personnel transactions including personnel appointments and procurement. Award management activities including budget management, spending plan development, account tracking, financial reports and award modifications while maintaining award records in compliance with university and sponsor policies as well as applicable federal, state and local policies. The incumbents will work closely with each PI on all aspects of the administration of their proposals and awards, including portfolio analysis and assisting with special projects and programmatic coordination, when needed. Departmental Grant Administrators will work under the overall supervision of the SGISD Director of Finance and in collaboration with ORSP and other central administrative units at the University and may supervise other department grant administration staff. Employment Specialist II in UMass Boston
The Employment Specialist II for the Institute of Community Inclusion (ICI) Massachusetts Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Initiative (MAICEI) will provide services necessary to assist individuals with disabilities in obtaining and maintaining employment on campus and in the community in integrated settings. The incumbent will work with individuals who have barriers to employment to identify job interests; and will evaluate and assess work skills and needed work place supports, based upon individual preferences, skills and job duties. The Employment Specialist II will develop relationships with campus employers and supervisors in order to identify jobs and to support the successful transition of job seekers into employment; will provide on-going supports as needed to facilitate employment retentions; and will provide case management and service coordination, as needed to facilitate access to and the coordination of services necessary for successful employment outcomes. The Employment Specialist II will assist the Program Manager in the area of program coordination and improvement, carrying out targeted initiatives and projects; will provide supervision to student peer coaches and job coaches.
