Job Description
The Manning College of Nursing and Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track nursing faculty member to teach and serve as director for our post-baccalaureate and post-master’s Doctor of Nursing practice (DNP) programs. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience.
The Director provides strategic, academic, and operational leadership while maintaining active engagement in teaching and scholarship. The Director collaborates with faculty, administration, and clinical partners to advance practice-focused doctoral education in alignment with the department’s mission ensuring excellence in curriculum, student outcomes, faculty development and accreditation compliance.
The primary responsibilities of the DNP program director are to ensure the successful academic and clinical administration of the program consistent with departmental, college, and university mission, philosophy, and policies; Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) standards; and Massachusetts State Board of Nursing (MABORN) regulations. This individual will work in collaboration with DNP program faculty to ensure the smooth running of the program.

Qualifications:
Application instructions: Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae (CV); a cover letter that includes a statement of leadership philosophy, a teaching philosophy statement, and an overview of scholarly accomplishments; and a list of professional references.
UMass Boston expects to pay within an approximate range between $95,000 and $107,000 for this position.
The specific pay for this position will be determined by the University based on the consideration of all relevant factors when and if it decides to extend an offer of employment.
