The PO Communications department oversees the UMass system's marketing and communications efforts. As a PO Communications intern, you will work closely with the team across digital marketing, social media, public relations, content marketing, and more to compellingly and purposefully convey the university's achievements and narratives to critical audiences and stakeholders across the Commonwealth and the United States. |

| The successful applicant will cultivate existing and lead new analytical and experimental research tied to biomedical engineering (e.g., human mobility, gait, balance, biomechanics, prosthetics and/or assistive robotics, as well as other areas tied to human motor control). A related focus will be placed on developing virtual and augmented reality systems tied home and clinical-based applications.
The initial appointment will be for approximately one year with a possibility of renewal based on interest, productivity, performance and the availability of funding. |

| The Pension Action Center is accepting applications from qualified applicants to fill the role of Staff Attorney. The Staff Attorney will work under the supervision of PAC’s legal staff to advise and represent workers and retirees who need assistance obtaining their pension benefits. Responsibilities include: managing and supervising our legal assistance helpline; communicating with retirees to assess their needs and advise them on their rights; researching challenging legal issues regarding the Employee Retirement Security Act (ERISA) and other governing law; preparing written administrative claims and appeals; conducting outreach to senior service organizations about PAC’s services; providing training on pension law; and other duties as assigned. |
