Upward Bound - Summer Residential Counselor Upward Bound
Upward Bound summer counselors are responsible for leading all afternoon activities including study hall, athletics and cultural/creative workshops. Further counselors assist in special events and field trips. Additionally, counselors are present in the dorms and at meals. Counselors are assigned a small group of students who they meet with for activities and mentorship regularly. Counselors will perform night duty shifts on a rotating basis. Candidates must be highly motivated, patient, and energetic. This position is residential 5 nights per week for 7 weeks (one week of staff training and six weeks of youth programming).
Upward Bound Summer Instructor Upward Bound
Upward Bound summer instructors are responsible for planning and implementing dynamic, engaging, empowering project-based courses as part of our 6-week residential summer program. The coursework and classroom environment should encourage and reward reflection, revision, and improvement.
Urban Scholars Summer Tutor Urban Scholars
Urban Scholars tutors work alongside lead teachers as teaching assistants to create a learning environment that maximizes student engagement and achievement. They support instruction by managing materials and attendance while assisting with lessons, class discussions, and group work. Beyond the classroom, tutors lead a team of approximately 20 students through competitions, workshops, college-prep seminars, field trips, and recreational activities. We seek candidates from all majors who are committed to our mission and passionate about working with youth.
Associate Lecturer- College of Management Management
Non-Tenure Track Part-Time Lecturers - College of Management (Several Positions) To address the rising demand due to growth in enrollments, the College of Management at UMASS Boston is seeking candidates for several associate lecturer positions in the areas of Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing. These are part-time non-permanent positions with the potential to turn into full-time positions. Renewal of these positions depends on performance, available resources, and departmental needs.
Participatory Archiving Project Manager, Temporary, Non-benefited Healey Library
Reporting to the Associate Director of Participatory Archiving Programs, the Participatory Archiving Project Manager supports the implementation of the Blackstone River Valley Participatory Archiving Project. The project is a community-based archiving and training initiative funded by the National Park Service and based in University Archives and Special Collections in the Joseph P. Healey Library at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
