General Summary:
The Assistant Director, Study Away and International Exchange Programs, within the Office of Global Programs, will be responsible for the day to day administration of UMass Boston’s study abroad and study away programs. The incumbent will also assist with the development of new study abroad and exchange programs; will maintain and develop resources and international program materials for marketing and library uses; will coordinate study abroad orientations and presentations; and ensure that students, faculty, and staff travel as part of a study abroad or away program are registered in the Terra Dotta Travel Registry system and risk and safety policies are followed. She/he will oversee advising for outgoing UMass Boston study abroad/study away students and incoming international and domestic exchange students and will provide study abroad advising as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in study abroad and international exchange programs, within higher education, required. Knowledge of standards governing the study of international exchange students is required. Demonstrated ability to implement study abroad and exchange programs is required. Familiarity with United States visa/immigration and other regulations pertaining to study abroad and international exchange programs required.
