Financial Analyst/Accountant Controller's Office
Under the direction of the Associate Controller, the Financial Analyst/Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of accounting functions that support the production of financial statements that are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”). Lecturer Leadership in Education

Library Coordinator II Healey Library

Community Service Officer Public Safety
A Community Service Officer (CSO) is an unarmed, uniformed security position, and is a non-sworn (civilian) member of the UMass Boston Police Department (UMBPD). With a strong emphasis on community engagement, CSO’s are responsible for performing a variety of duties to assist the (UMBPD) with its campus safety and community policing efforts. CSO’s assist UMBPD to make connections between students, faculty, staff, and other members of the community. The incumbent of this position enforces university policy, by-laws, the student code of conduct, and performs other non-criminal police related duties such as: community engagement and outreach; patrolling the campus on foot and/or be assigned to a designated post; provides direction, general information, and resources to the public, issuing parking tickets; performing walking escorts; respond to non-criminal complaints, building checks and other duties assigned. CSO’s are essential employees that do not carry firearms and have no powers of arrest.
Associate Director of Advancement Services VC-University Advancement
The Associate Director of Advancement Services will play an integral role as a member of the Advancement Services team in University Advancement. He/she will be responsible for coordinating activities relating to data and gift processing such as maintaining an integrated system of daily gift batches, producing gift receipts, individualized acknowledgement letters, and gift transaction reports in accordance with established procedures. In addition, he/she will work on special projects assigned by the Senior Director of Advancement Services. The Associate Director will report directly to the Sr. Director of Advancement Services and work closely with the Advancement Services and Finance area.
Staff Psychologist and Coordinator of Clinical Training Health Services
The Staff Psychologist and Coordinator of Clinical Training within University Health Services will provide high-quality, time-effective, evidence-based and culturally responsive clinical services, including: triage; emergency and crisis intervention services; referrals and evaluations; as well as individual and group counseling and psychotherapy. The incumbent will also provide consultation to faculty and staff and provide outreach to the campus community. The incumbent will manage a caseload so as to serve the maximum number of students who are appropriate for services at the University Health Services Counseling Center; and will consult with and/or make timely and appropriate mental health referrals for students as needed. In addition, the Staff Psychologist and Coordinator of Clinical Training will provide leadership for the University Health Services Counseling Center Clinical Practicum and Advanced Clinical Practicum, serving as the liaison between the Counseling Center and the graduate programs in which the trainees are enrolled. The incumbent will guide the process of planning and producing the yearly practicum orientation, assuming primary responsibility for ensuring that trainees and practicum supervisors understand and act in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Counseling Center; will oversee all data collection pertaining to the evaluation of the practicum; and will be responsible for overseeing the application process for the Advanced Clinical Practicum.

University Police Officer Public Safety
The University Police Officer will perform a full range of law enforcement functions. Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 253 of the Acts of 2020 (“An Act Relative to Justice, Equity and Accountability in Law Enforcement in the Commonwealth”), the position of: The University Police Officer position is a regulated by the Massachusetts Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). University Police Officers are appointed as sworn police officers pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws chapter 75, section 32A and chapter 90C which grants University Police Officers the same authority, immunities and privileges as a duly appointed and qualified sworn police officer acting elsewhere in the Commonwealth. Under the general supervision of the University Patrol Sergeant, a University Police Officer patrols assigned areas of property used, owned, or occupied by the University of Massachusetts and areas adjacent to the university to provide a safe and secure environment for all members of the University community by means of an alert and vigilant preventive patrol. Work is performed in accordance with federal, state, and local laws as well as university and departmental policies, procedures, and general orders. Work is reviewed by inspection, through verbal and written reports, and by results achieved. University Police Officer candidates must have successfully completed a Massachusetts Basic Police Training Program from an accredited police academy, approved by the Municipal Police Training Council (MPTC) or have successfully completed training that is substantially equivalent to or greater than that of a Massachusetts police officer at a comparable level of experience to obtain an academy exemption through the MPTC. Contingent upon appointment, the appointee(s) shall be considered probationary through twelve (12) continuous months of service, beginning on the date the appointee(s) report for duty.

An employee in this class frequently participates in the work performed by subordinate officers and is responsible for performing related duties as required. The Patrol Sergeant’s primary responsibility is to ensure the effective performance of duty by patrol personnel. Patrol Sergeants work independently in performing regularly assigned duties and assumes complete charge in the event of the absence of a superior officer. Work is performed in accordance with federal, state, and local laws as well as university and departmental policies, procedures, and general orders. Work is reviewed by inspection, through verbal and written reports, and by results achieved.
Assistant Director, Sales & Marketing Campus Center Operations
Under the Supervision of the Senior Associate Director for Event Management and Conferences, the Assistant Director for Sales and Marketing will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to generate revenue from conference and event sales. The incumbent will develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and outreach plan which highlights meeting and event space available at UMass Boston; and will develop revenue through the production and management of sales leads via university departments, private business, and nonprofits, local, state and federal agencies. The incumbent will conduct site tours, respond to RFPs (requests for proposals), assemble event contracts and manage conference sales and marketing efforts.
Coordinator for Events & Operations Campus Center Operations
Under the supervision of the Associate Director for Operations, the Coordinator for Events and Operations supports two distinct areas of the department, including: Campus Center: The Campus Center reflects the University’s mission and founding principles of access, diversity and excellence through its abundant programs, services and spaces. The department oversees the daily operation of the building, which serves as the “living room” of campus. In collaboration with various campus partners, the Campus Center supports and enhances student life and student involvement, University amenities and resources, and event and conference services. Event Services: Manages a full range of meeting and event spaces for the UMass Boston community and external guests. Responsibilities include space scheduling, event detailing, staffing coordination and technology support. Event Services also manages all marketing initiatives of the department including websites and printed materials for internal and external initiatives. Additionally, Event Services coordinates and supports University events in collaboration with our partners in Advancement and Alumni Engagement, Enrollment Management, Student Affairs and University Events. The Coordinator for Events and Operations will support the department by providing on-site event coordination and support in department managed spaces across campus. Additionally, they will assist in processing space requests and providing logistical assistance to outside guests and members of the UMass Boston community.
