Assistant Professor in Ecology and Global Environmental Change

The Biology Department at the University of Massachusetts, Boston seeks applicants for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor starting in September 1, 2020. This individual is expected to be a broadly-trained ecologist, but with a research focus on community ecology and global environmental change. Applications are particularly welcome from candidates who have expertise in community and population connectivity, and ecological dynamics at large scales.  The successful applicant will be expected to establish an externally funded research program, direct the research of students at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels, and interact with a dynamic group of ecologists and evolutionary biologists in our Department. The candidate will also be expected to become actively involved in our Environmental Biology PhD program. A Ph.D. and postdoctoral training (or equivalent professional experience) in ecology, population biology, behavioral ecology, evolution, or a related field is required.
