    Assistant Curator of Performing Arts in UMass Amherst

    The Assistant Curator, Performing Arts/Asian and Asian American Performance (AC/AAAP) is supervised by and works with the Performing Arts Curator (PAC) to direct the activities of the Fine Arts Center's performing arts department and personnel. This assistant leadership position helps build a coherent, innovative, diverse, and socially relevant performing arts and culture season, featuring artists, projects and outreach and engagement activities from across disciplines, genres, and cultures, including music, dance, theatre, film/media, family shows, international, and more, and that preserves and enhances the identity and goals of the FAC. The AC/AAAP also directs FAC’s Asian and Asian American performance program, the longest-running university-based program of its kind in the country.

  • Postdoctoral Research Associate - Chemical Engineering in UMass Lowell

    Engineering Biology: The successful applicants will work on one or two projects investigating the 1) digital integration of freeze-drying (lyophilization) of biologics and mRNA, 2) digital twin modeling system development of biologics, 3) synthetic biology project of biologics, Cell&Gene therapy biomanufacturing, and 4) mRNA continuous production process. The position will be core staff of a federally funded projects with a few industry collaborators. The appointment will be for ONE year, contingent upon funding.

    The W.E.B. Du Bois Department of Afro-American Studies is seeking a full-time temporary non-tenure track (NTT) Lecturer for the 2025-2026 Academic Year. This is a temporary, benefitted one year appointment that will teach a 3-3 class load concentrating in Politics and History. The preliminary schedule of classes to be taught is: Fall Semester AA132 African American History I, AA161 Introduction to Black Politics, AA390S Strike the Empire Back and in the Spring Semester AA236 History of the Civil Rights Movement, AA264 Foundations of Black Education in the US, AA390T Mapping the Black Freedom Movement. This is a 100% FTE (full-time equivalent) position.

    The Administrative Director of the English Department will provide financial, administrative, personnel, and grants administration leadership and management for the English Department. The incumbent will have responsibility over all aspects of the financial management and operations of the English Department, including grants management, and managing the budget and accounting functions for the units. The incumbent will collaborate with the Dean’s Office and the Department Chair on all matters related to the budget, operations and personnel that concerns the ESL program, the Composition program, Master’s program and MFA program and when appropriate, the Writing Center.

    Academic Success Advisor in UMass Boston

    The Academic Success Advisor works with targeted student populations included but not limited to the TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program, the Pre-collegiate English Language Program (ELP), Pathway Program, Early College, and the Direction for Student Potential (DSP) Program. Using asset-based educational, cultural, and linguistic frameworks, the Academic Success Advisor provides support to the students from their initial transition to college through graduation. The Academic Success Advisor will ensure high-quality, comprehensive advising sessions through educational approaches that promote equity, transformational practice, and academic literacies to guarantee the successful retention of the students we serve. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, working with a caseload of approximately 125-150 students to assist them in navigating academic and non-academic issues as well as connecting them to other appropriate resources and services on campus and beyond.
