The study’s goals including implementing an autism-focused professional development program for early elementary, general education teachers and evaluating the program’s efficacy in a randomized controlled trial design. This professional development program, called Smooth Sailing, was designed with close consultation from teachers and autistic consultants, provides neurodiversity-affirming information about autism, and equips teachers with strategies for fostering strong student-teacher relationships with their young autistic students.

Digital Initiatives Archivist in UMass Boston
Reporting to the University Archivist and Curator of Special Collections, the Digital Initiatives Archivist is responsible for managing the digital assets of the University Archives and Special Collections (UASC). This includes developing and implementing digital research and pedagogical initiatives that align with the goals of the Archives, the Library, and the University. The Digital Initiatives Archivist will oversee the accessioning, processing, description, preservation, and access to born-digital and digitized materials according to archival standards and best practices. The Digital Initiatives Archivist supports the development of digital infrastructure and strategy in the Archives at UMass Boston, including the coordination of digitization projects, management of collection content databases, and implementation of digital preservation workflows. This position will collaborate with UASC staff to establish, streamline, and improve digital initiatives in strategic, efficient ways to enhance access to archival materials for research and instruction. The position will also contribute to advancing the outreach and engagement goals of the Archives, including assisting with aspects of archival instruction and participatory archiving programs that align with the incumbent's expertise.

Depart Grant Administrator II in UMass Boston
The Departmental Grant Administrator (DGA) is a three-level series that supports proposal development, award management and compliance oversight throughout the grant lifecycle. This series will provide department level administrative and operational management of the externally funded award portfolios of Principal Investigators (PI’s). The DGA will be responsible for proposal development and award management including application development, account set-up and monitoring, personnel and non-personnel transactions including personnel appointments and procurement. Award management activities including budget management, spending plan development, account tracking, financial reports and award modifications while maintaining award records in compliance with university and sponsor policies as well as applicable federal, state and local policies. The incumbents will work closely with each PI on all aspects of the administration of their proposals and awards, including portfolio analysis and assisting with special projects and programmatic coordination, when needed. Departmental Grant Administrators will work under the overall supervision of the SGISD Director of Finance and in collaboration with ORSP and other central administrative units at the University and may supervise other department grant administration staff.
