Job Description

The Department of Biology at the University of Massachusetts Boston seeks an associate lecturer to teach Anatomy and Physiology starting September 1, 2025.

The associate lecturer will teach a lecture section of Anatomy and Physiology of about 200 students and/or another lecture section with 100 students. The course is primarily for Nursing majors. The successful candidate will also supervise lab instructors for the course and will be expected to follow standard departmental policies related to instruction and course coordination in multi-section classes.

Required Qualifications:

● Strong background in anatomy and physiology.

● Demonstrated potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching.

● Commitment to supporting our goal of ensuring an inclusive, equitable, and diverse educational environment.

 

Desired Qualifications:

● A Master of Science degree in Biology or other field relevant to anatomy and physiology.

● A documented record of excellence in classroom instruction
