The College of Science and Mathematics (CSM) at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for two tenure-track positions, and possibly three depending on financial resources, in the general area of Network Data Science. These positions, at the level of Assistant Professor and beginning September 1, 2020, are the initial steps in our effort to build a cluster in Network Data Science that will complement other CSM groups already involved in data science research. We consider Networks broadly, encompassing a variety of complex systems and data types, ranging from the Internet to social, biological, biochemical, and ecological systems. These tenure-track positions will be located in the departments of Mathematics, Biology, or Computer Science. The successful candidates must possess a Ph.D. in one of these disciplines or a closely related field, and are expected to conduct a strong research program and interact with members of the other departments in Network Data Science.
