Staff Psychologist & Coordinator of Clinical Training Health Services
The Staff Psychologist and Coordinator of Clinical Training within University Health Services will provide high-quality, time-effective, evidence-based and culturally responsive clinical services, including: triage; emergency and crisis intervention services; referrals and evaluations; as well as individual and group counseling and psychotherapy. The incumbent will also provide consultation to faculty and staff and provide outreach to the campus community. The incumbent will manage a caseload so as to serve the maximum number of students who are appropriate for services at the University Health Services Counseling Center; and will consult with and/or make timely and appropriate mental health referrals for students as needed. In addition, the Staff Psychologist and Coordinator of Clinical Training will provide leadership for the University Health Services Counseling Center Clinical Practicum and Advanced Clinical Practicum, serving as the liaison between the Counseling Center and the graduate programs in which the trainees are enrolled. The incumbent will guide the process of planning and producing the yearly practicum orientation, assuming primary responsibility for ensuring that trainees and practicum supervisors understand and act in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Counseling Center; will oversee all data collection pertaining to the evaluation of the practicum; and will be responsible for overseeing the application process for the Advanced Clinical Practicum.
Clinical Assistant Professor Nursing
The Manning College of Nursing and Health Sciences invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track nursing faculty member to teach and serve as director for our post-baccalaureate and post-master’s Doctor of Nursing practice (DNP) programs. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience.
Urban Scholars Summer Instructor Urban Scholars
Urban Scholars instructors are responsible for designing and leading dynamic, project-based courses that empower students and build essential skills for college and future careers. Their lessons should prioritize the development of cross-disciplinary academic proficiencies, including critical reading, media literacy, analytical writing, and proficient communication, while actively cultivating student habits like self-reflection, a growth mindset, and self-regulation to prepare scholars for academic and professional success. We are currently seeking instructors for our summer institute in the following subject areas: • Math (algebra I, geometry, algebra II, pre-calculus, calculus) • Lab science (biology, chemistry, physics) • English Language Arts • Foreign language (Spanish, French, Mandarin, etc.) • Electives or other STEM subjects (environmental science, genetics, coding, etc.)
Upward Bound Summer Residential Tutor Upward Bound
Upward Bound summer tutors are responsible for assisting in classes, leading daily study sessions and co-facilitating a creative workshop. Tutors may at times be asked to assist in aspects of dorm life. Further tutors assist in special events and field trips. Tutors are responsible for being knowledgeable about content area and working with the teachers to stay current with what is going on in the courses. Additionally, tutors are present in the dorms and at meals. Tutors are assigned a small group of students who they share a suite with and meet with for activities and mentorship regularly. Candidates must be highly motivated, patient, and energetic. This position is residential 5 nights per week for 7 weeks (one week of staff training followed by six weeks of youth programming).
Upward Bound - Summer Residential Counselor Upward Bound
Upward Bound summer counselors are responsible for leading all afternoon activities including study hall, athletics and cultural/creative workshops. Further counselors assist in special events and field trips. Additionally, counselors are present in the dorms and at meals. Counselors are assigned a small group of students who they meet with for activities and mentorship regularly. Counselors will perform night duty shifts on a rotating basis. Candidates must be highly motivated, patient, and energetic. This position is residential 5 nights per week for 7 weeks (one week of staff training and six weeks of youth programming).
