Instructional Media Specialist I Institute Community Inclusion
The Instructional Media Specialist I will, under the guidance of the ICI Senior Instructional Media Manager and in consultation with Subject Matter Experts, develop, design, and edit numerous online learning activities and online learning development projects, as well as various writing and assessment needs across Institute for Community Inclusion media projects. The incumbent must ensure that all materials produced are accessible to all learners. The incumbent will work across projects and will support the integration of web-based tools, and online learning strategies into project and ICI activities. S/he will identify opportunities for the expansion of online learning; and will work in a team capacity with the Senior Instructional Media Manager to accomplish goals related to grants and other online learning and web-based initiatives.
Data Manager (Stone Living Lab) SFE - Dean's Office
The Stone Living Lab (https://stonelivinglab.org/), a multi-institution partnership researching coastal defense in the face of sea level rise, seeks a data manager to work with its scientists at UMass Boston. As the Stone Living Lab (SLL) pursues its scientific mission, the principal investigators (PIs) and students involved are generating a wealth of data in a wide variety of formats. In order to maximize the use of our data across multiple lab groups, we are seeking a data manager to help us curate, manage, and make publicly accessible our data in a way that obeys FAIR (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reuse) best practices. We are seeking someone who will work with the PIs and associated researchers with the creation, organization, and maintenance of the SLL data management process as well as generation of public-facing products using this data. Further, we hope to host our data on either the Environmental Data Repository (https://edirepository.org/) or Data One (https://www.dataone.org/services/), to provide long-term public availability, robust metadata generation, and open APIs.
Assistant Professor- (Urban Planning & Community Development) Urban Planning&Community Dev
The Department of Urban Planning and Community Development at the University of Massachusetts Boston seeks to hire a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor to serve as the lead scholar for its newly created urban transportation planning and policy-making concentration. Successful candidates must have an earned doctorate in urban planning (a professional planning degree is also preferred), a history of external research funding activity, a strong publication record in leading transportation and related planning journals, a well-thought out teaching strategy and exceptional teaching evaluations if experienced), and a record of successful collaboration with public transportation agencies, commuter organizations, and alternative transportation groups (i.e. bicyclists and pedestrians) on important transportation policy issues.
Financial Research Admin I-IV Research & Sponsored Programs
Reporting to the Assistant Director for Post Award Services in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP), the Financial Research Administrator will be responsible for a portfolio of awards from various funding agencies with major duties to include bill plan set-up; billing; payment processing; accounts receivable; post-award management; sub-recipient monitoring; and closeout of sponsored funding awards.
Network Engineer IT Comm & Infrastructure Serv
Working in a team environment, the Network Engineer is responsible for assisting in the development and design of University networks, as well as the day-to-day management and health of such networks, including network analysis and design, configuration and deployment, related performance testing, maintenance and management of network growth and capacity, and network security administration. The incumbent is responsible for all network related reports, performing security risk assessments and assisting in the development and implementation of network policies and procedures, as well as in the growth, service and expansion of the university network.  The incumbent will adhere to prescribed industry guidelines and standards for data networks. The position may require work at nights and on weekends in support of network activities, emergencies and events.

Community Service Officer Public Safety
A Community Service Officer (CSO) is an unarmed, uniformed security position, and is a non-sworn (civilian) member of the UMass Boston Police Department (UMBPD). With a strong emphasis on community engagement, CSO’s are responsible for performing a variety of duties to assist the (UMBPD) with its campus safety and community policing efforts. CSO’s assist UMBPD to make connections between students, faculty, staff, and other members of the community. The incumbent of this position enforces university policy, by-laws, the student code of conduct, and performs other non-criminal police related duties such as: community engagement and outreach; patrolling the campus on foot and/or be assigned to a designated post; provides direction, general information, and resources to the public, issuing parking tickets; performing walking escorts; respond to non-criminal complaints, building checks and other duties assigned. CSO’s are essential employees that do not carry firearms and have no powers of arrest.
Departmental Research Administrator (I-III) (Psychology) Psychology
The UMass Boston “Department Research Administrator” job family of positions (levels 1 through 4) are the core department/college-based administrators responsible for working directly with our research faculty and staff on grant development and preparation, and with the day-to-day financial oversight of all funded awards. Our campus’ external research activities are coordinated within teams. This specific position will work within the team that is assigned to the Manning College of Nursing and Health Sciences, the College of Liberal Arts and the College of Management, reporting to the Deans of all three colleges, and the Associate Vice Provost for Research and Director of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs. The focus area of this position will mostly be within the college of CLA and the Department of Psychology.

Research and Knowledge Translation Associate II Institute Community Inclusion
The Research and Knowledge Translation (KT) Associate II will collaborate with an established team of Principal Investigators, researchers and policy staff implementing multiple national projects focusing on the employment of people with disabilities who are involved in public employment services. The incumbent will ensure that an understanding of the lived experience of gaining, retaining, and advancing in employment by people with disabilities is a central part of the research and knowledge translation activities. Expected tasks include participating in qualitative and/or quantitative research protocols, such as interviewing and analyzing data, designing processes and products to assist practitioners to modify practices based upon lived experience narratives, and to create a dynamic portfolio of products with and for people with disabilities who may pursue employment services. Occasional nation-wide travel may be required.
Bursar Bursar's Office
The Bursar reports to the Controller and is responsible for the billing, collection and refunding of student tuition and fee revenues ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations, policies, and procedures. The Bursar assumes responsibility for the strategic use and development of system technologies to support and enhance the objectives of the Administration & Finance team and provides leadership, training, and guidance for staff in promoting sound business practices that assist in the accurate and timely collection of money as well as required accounting. The Senior Accountant/Sr. Analyst reports to the Associate Controller and is responsible for a variety of accounting functions that support the production of financial statements that are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”). The position also assists in the monthly, quarterly and fiscal year close of the general ledger along with the annual General Purpose and Uniform Guidance audits. Recommends updates to business processes as needed and provides ongoing training for staff. Organizational Development Manager Athletics
The Organizational Development Manager will have responsibility for carrying out talent development and human resource duties for the department of Athletics & Recreation. The Organizational Development Manager will assist in work to further an inclusive culture. The Program Coordinator for the Office of Student Activities will assist with the development, implementation, and assessment of programs, services, and initiatives that enhance student learning and the overall student experience, creating a diverse, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students on a 24/7 campus. The Business Manager and Grants Administrator for the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) will support faculty and staff from the college with research grant support services and grant funded project management. Understanding the unique processes involved in the overall research effort, the incumbent will process research proposals, awards, and transactions related to grant/contract management; will maintain grant/contract records in compliance with university and research sponsored policies; and will assist with preparing and submitting programmatic reports. We are seeking an outstanding candidate to join our faculty in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Massachusetts Boston, beginning Spring 2024. The candidate will assume a 9-month, lecturer non-tenure track appointment (one-year appointment) in the Department of Counseling and School Psychology to teach primarily clinical supervision courses in the master’s and doctoral programs in mental health counseling and counseling psychology, respectively, and will collaborate with the University Health Services Counseling Center to supervise counseling psychology doctoral students in providing counseling services. The Department of Counseling and School Psychology houses two APA accredited Ph.D. programs in Counseling Psychology and School Psychology, MPCAC-accredited masters programs in School Counseling and Mental Health Counseling, NASP-accredited masters and Ed.S. programs in School Psychology, a graduate certificate program in Applied Behavior Analysis, and a B.A. in Sport Leadership and Administration. The Counseling Psychology Ph.D. program prepares professionals in a scientist-practitioner model and has been accredited since 2015. The Department of Counseling and School Psychology provides a dynamic environment for faculty and students to engage in nationally recognized research, especially in areas related to equity issues, systems-level change, LGBTQ health and wellness, social justice, transnational, human rights, and global perspectives.
