The College seeks a Director to oversee the TIHC and this growing portfolio in its emerging Center for Educational Partnerships. In collaboration with the FAHSS Dean’s Office, TIHC staff, and other school and community-based partners, the Director coordinates Center initiatives that serve PK-14 students & educators and provide a pipeline to UML degree programs. The position offers the unique opportunity to work across a range of educational contexts including the Tsongas Industrial History Center, whereby the Director works in and with Lowell National Historical to offer place-based, hands-on informal, humanities and STEM education programs. |
Postdoctoral Research Associate - Chemical Engineering (multiple positions)

The successful applicant will conduct computational research in nuclear materials and advanced energy materials. The candidate will develop, train and test machine learning algorithms for performing materials simulations using methods such as dense neural networks, gaussian processes, and graph convolutional networks. Materials of interest include molten salts, which are used as a heat transfer fluid in advanced fission and fusion reactors, and doped ceramic materials for high-temperature electric-thermal energy storage. The candidate will help immediate supervisor in writing scholarly articles and proposals. Salary will be competitive and based on experience of the candidate.
The initial appointment will be for 1 year with a possibility of renewal based on the productivity and performance and the availability of funding. |
