Extension Assistant Professor - Food Science UMass Amherst
The Department of Food Science seeks a dynamic candidate to establish and lead an integrated extension and research program addressing critical food system challenges. This position offers a pathway to advance into a leadership role managing extension efforts with cutting-edge facilities (e.g., GMP pilot plant and innovation kitchen). Technical Assistance Associate UMass Boston
The Technical Assistance Associate supports assigned projects at the Institute for Community Inclusion. They will provide technical assistance and training related to postsecondary education for students with intellectual disability, in collaboration with the Technical Assistance Manager, Alliances Manager, and Program Directors. The incumbent will serve as a technical assistance provider, documenting and addressing requests. They will support and contribute to the development of training resources and information through multiple formats including online learning resources, research-to-practice briefs and how- to guides, virtual resource repositories, as well as conducting in-person and remote trainings, webinars, and conference presentations. They will provide administrative support for the technical assistance team such as soliciting and receiving reports, tracking and receiving deliverables, scheduling meetings, and following up with partners as needed. The position may be held remotely, but regular nation-wide travel will be required.
EDP Programmer II UMass Boston
The Gift Processing and Data Coordinator for University Advancement will be responsible for providing coordination of activities relating to data and gift processing. Also, run batch reports of gifts recorded and acknowledgement letters of donation. Work closely with the Director of Advancement Information Systems to maintain the Ellucian/Advance database structure; ensure data integrity, create and run reports. Oversee data entry staff and ensure that data is being accurately recorded in the Advance system. He or she will be responsible for compiling address mailings for targeted solicitations to send to the external mail houses. Perform other duties as required or assigned. The Gift Processing and Data Coordinator will be a member of the advancement team and report to the Director of Information Systems. The position will be responsible for maintaining an integrated system of daily gift batches entry, production of gift receipts, individualized acknowledgement letters, posting batch control reports and gift transaction reports in accordance with established procedures.
Employment Specialist II UMass Boston
The Employment Specialist II for the Institute of Community Inclusion (ICI) Massachusetts Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Initiative (MAICEI) will provide services necessary to assist individuals with disabilities in obtaining and maintaining employment in the community in integrated settings. The incumbent will work with individuals who have barriers to employment to identify job interests; and will evaluate and assess work skills and needed work place supports, based upon individual preferences, skills and job duties. The Employment Specialist II will develop relationships with employers in order to identify jobs and to support the successful transition of job seekers into employment; will provide on-going supports as needed to facilitate employment retentions; and will provide case management and service coordination, as needed to facilitate access to and the coordination of services necessary for successful employment outcomes. The Employment Specialist II will assist the Program Manager in the area of program coordination and improvement, carrying out targeted initiatives and projects; will provide supervision to student peer coaches and job coaches.
