General Summary:
The Assistant Manager for Library Access Services will support the Head of Library Access Services in all capacities, providing high-quality, front-line services to patrons of Healey Library. The incumbent will manage the student employees for the Access Services Desks. Working with the Head of Library Access Services, the Assistant Manager will foster and support growth opportunities for all student employees. The incumbent will manage all aspects of the student employee hiring, scheduling, onboarding, and off boarding processes as well as recruitment, performance evaluations, and payroll for student supervisors and student assistants. In their absence, the Assistant Manager will act on behalf of the Head of Library Access Services as the first point of contact for all other library departments and campus partners. This position will be a swing shift, overlapping with the day and evening staff to provide consistent services throughout the workday.

Qualifications:
Applicants must have at least (A) two years of full-time or equivalent part-time, paraprofessional experience as a library assistant and (B) of which at least one year must have been in a supervisory capacity, or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitution below.
Substitutions: I. An Associate's or higher degree may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A) experience.* *Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
Ability to work the schedule needed and remain flexible to changes in work schedules as the academic calendar and library schedule change is required.
