Research Analyst Institute for Early Education
The Research Analyst(s) is responsible for project implementation working under the direction of the Research and Evaluation team at the Institute for Early Education Leadership and Innovation. Research Analysts’ work focuses heavily on activities related to data collection, analysis, and reporting of findings. Depending on the qualifications of the successful applicant, the position may entail writing duties and some independent project tasks.
Director of Advising & Student Engagement Pathway & Multilingual Program
The Director collaborates with Pathways & Student Success Programs colleagues to design, implement, and assess high-impact, culturally sustaining, and evidence-based advising programs and services that support students in achieving academic, career, and personal goals. The Director of Advising & Student Engagement will be responsible for the overall planning, development, and administration of advising programs and services for Pathways & Student Success Programs. Additionally, the Director of Advising & Student Engagement is responsible for coordinating and supervising all aspects of the university’s Student Support Services program (SSS); preparing budgets and monitoring program expenditures; assuring successful interaction of the project with all academic and other student-related services of the university; maintaining complete records of program activities and participants; and following federal regulations and requirements and the program’s currently funded grant proposal.
Testing Center Coordinator Ross Ctr Disability Services
Reporting to the Associate Director of the Ross Center for Students with Disabilities, the Testing Center (TC) Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of managing a full-service testing center for UMB students with disabilities that require exam accommodations. The TC Coordinator oversees and evaluates all testing activities and coordinates access and support for students using the Ross Center information software system, reviews testing contracts, creates accessible formats of exams, and manages a reservation process for proctoring requests from faculty. The incumbent will develop relationships with faculty, staff, administrators and external partners, and will collaborate with them to offer an array of activities in the testing center in compliance with Federal disability statute that assist with student retention and program development. They will uphold and enforce the University Code of Conduct and will ensure the highest ethical standards of a secure, quiet and safe testing environment.
Service Advisor One Stop Student Serv Ctr
One Stop Service Advisors perform a vital role in assisting and educating students to navigate administrative processes related to financial aid, billing, and registration. They will provide convenient and thorough support and care through a variety of service channels including walk-in, phone, email, live chat and virtual meetings.
Associate Controller Controller's Office
Under the direction of the Director of Fiscal Operations & Controller (“Controller”), the Associate Controller ensures data integrity and accuracy within the University’s financial system, in compliance with state and federal regulations, and produces financial statements that are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”). Exercises sound judgment within defined accounting procedures and practice to analyze and resolve complex assignments where analysis of data requires review of a variety of factors and sources. Recommend updates to policies and procedures as needed and implement approved changes. Performs all other duties assigned by the Controller.
HR Customer Service and Onboarding Assistant Human Resources
The HR Customer Service and Onboarding Assistant will provide routine administrative duties to support the daily operations of the Department of Human Resources. The incumbent will greet, direct and/or provide assistance to both internal and external customers; receive and direct internal and external phone and e-mail inquiries and when necessary, field inquires to appropriate staff person; receive, sort and distribute mail; prepare selected correspondence; and proofread and type documents. They will run reports and conduct database queries; gather, update and enter information into departmental and/or university databases and systems; and will schedule meetings for departmental directors and managers. The incumbent will be responsible for interacting with a wide variety of staff, faculty and students to provide information and to direct them to the appropriate source for resolution of an issue.
Director of Merit Scholarship Merit Scholarship Office
The Director of Merit Scholarships within the Division of Enrollment Management will oversee all components of merit scholarship programs, including marketing, outreach, selection process, award distribution and fund management for Undergraduate and Graduate students. The incumbent will interact with Vice Chancellors, Deans, Directors and department Chairs to advise, interpret and develop strategies to most effectively utilize scholarship funding; will monitor continued student eligibility and compliance; will advise University Advancement on appropriate scholarship parameters and selection criteria; and will evaluate success of scholarship programs in contributing to enrollment goals.

The University Police Officer will perform a full range of law enforcement functions. Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 253 of the Acts of 2020 (“An Act Relative to Justice, Equity and Accountability in Law Enforcement in the Commonwealth”), the position of: The University Police Officer position is a regulated by the Massachusetts Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). University Police Officers are appointed as sworn police officers pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws chapter 75, section 32A and chapter 90C which grants University Police Officers the same authority, immunities and privileges as a duly appointed and qualified sworn police officer acting elsewhere in the Commonwealth. Under the general supervision of the University Patrol Sergeant, a University Police Officer patrols assigned areas of property used, owned, or occupied by the University of Massachusetts and areas adjacent to the university to provide a safe and secure environment for all members of the University community by means of an alert and vigilant preventive patrol. Work is performed in accordance with federal, state, and local laws as well as university and departmental policies, procedures, and general orders. Work is reviewed by inspection, through verbal and written reports, and by results achieved. University Police Officer candidates must have successfully completed a Massachusetts Basic Police Training Program from an accredited police academy, approved by the Municipal Police Training Council (MPTC) or have successfully completed training that is substantially equivalent to or greater than that of a Massachusetts police officer at a comparable level of experience to obtain an academy exemption through the MPTC. Staff Psychologist & Coordinator of Clinical Training Health Services
The Staff Psychologist and Coordinator of Clinical Training within University Health Services will provide high-quality, time-effective, evidence-based and culturally responsive clinical services, including: triage; emergency and crisis intervention services; referrals and evaluations; as well as individual and group counseling and psychotherapy. The incumbent will also provide consultation to faculty and staff and provide outreach to the campus community. The incumbent will manage a caseload so as to serve the maximum number of students who are appropriate for services at the University Health Services Counseling Center; and will consult with and/or make timely and appropriate mental health referrals for students as needed. In addition, the Staff Psychologist and Coordinator of Clinical Training will provide leadership for the University Health Services Counseling Center Clinical Practicum and Advanced Clinical Practicum, serving as the liaison between the Counseling Center and the graduate programs in which the trainees are enrolled. The incumbent will guide the process of planning and producing the yearly practicum orientation, assuming primary responsibility for ensuring that trainees and practicum supervisors understand and act in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Counseling Center; will oversee all data collection pertaining to the evaluation of the practicum; and will be responsible for overseeing the application process for the Advanced Clinical Practicum.
