Communications Dispatcher III Public Safety
The Dispatcher Level III oversees and monitors the work performed by Dispatcher Level I’s. Incumbents in this position establish staffing schedules, coordinate and conduct employee trainings and oversees and ensures compliance with university policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the Federal Communications Commission. Incumbents also receives, reviews and transmits messages over a state and federal computer network, a fixed radio broadcast system, a police records management system and telephone, all under the rules and regulations of the Federal Communications Commission. Employees in this class operate radio transmitting and receiving equipment; maintain records and logs of messages; search files to obtain information; coordinate radio communications; and perform related work as required.
Staff Assistant/Lab and Environmental Specialist Environmental Health & Safety
The OEHS Lab and Environmental Specialist within the Office of Environmental Health and Safety (OEHS) is responsible for supporting the radiation, laser chemical and biological safety programs, as well as the environmental management system, including permit support and data input into the inventory control system for chemical, radiological and biological materials.

Non Tenure Track - Lecturer (Clinical Psychology) Psychology
The Department of Psychology at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a Lecturer position beginning September 1, 2024 in Clinical Psychology with a track record of success in teaching and clinical work/clinical supervision. Our goal is to successfully recruit a psychologist, who will (a) serve as the Practicum Coordinator, coordinating placements and supporting students in completing external practicum placements, for our clinical psychology doctoral program, (b) provide clinical supervision to doctoral student trainees particularly through our UMB-UR-BEST outreach program (see https://www.umb.edu/umburbest), and (c) teach undergraduate and graduate courses. UMass Boston’s School for the Environment (SFE) is home to more than 400 environmental science, marine science, urban planning, sustainability, and community development faculty, post-docs, staff, and graduate and undergraduate students. Clinical Social Worker Health Services
The full-time Staff Clinical Social Worker for University Health Services Counseling Center will provide high quality, time- effective, evidence-based and culturally responsive clinical services, including: triage; emergency and crisis intervention services; referrals and evaluations; as well as individual and group counseling and psychotherapy. Assistant Professor- (Management) Management
The Department of Management in the College of Management at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor, beginning September 1, 2024. Appropriate candidates will hold a PhD in Management or closely-related discipline (ABDs will be considered but must complete their doctorate by September 1, 2024). Appropriate candidates will demonstrate clear research and teaching interests in Strategic Management, a record of publications, and a clear pipeline of manuscripts in progress. We will prioritize candidates whose research plans emphasize biochemical approaches to molecular and cell biology, developmental biology, or microbial biology. Assistant Professor (Physics) Physics
The Department of Physics in the College of Science and Mathematics (CSM) at the University of Massachusetts Boston (UMB) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in computational physics focusing on research at the interface of machine learning and physics, to begin September 1, 2024. We will prioritize candidates whose research in machine learning/physics complements existing strengths in theoretical quantum science and technology and/or experimental biophysics research within the department. Specific research areas of interest include but are not limited to: quantum machine learning, applications of deep learning/deep reinforcement learning to diverse fields ranging from biomedical physics to quantum computing. The successful applicant is expected to establish a robust externally funded research program, direct the research of students at the doctoral, masters, and undergraduate levels, and interact effectively with colleagues within the Physics Department and in Computer Science and other departments across the College of Science and Mathematics. The successful candidate is also expected to develop innovative courses focusing on the physics/machine learning interface. A Ph.D. in Physics or related fields is required.
