    • Assistant Professor - Urban Planning in UMass Boston

      The Department of Urban Planning and Community Development (UPCD) in the School for the Environment (SFE) at the University of Massachusetts Boston (UMB) seeks candidates for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin September 1, 2026. We invite scholars who can contribute to our environmental planning concentration, specializing in the interconnectedness of environmental and public health in cities and coastal areas. Candidates with expertise in areas such as climate resilience, environmental justice, green infrastructure, disaster planning, or health equity are especially encouraged to apply. We are committed to sustainability, equity, and community engagement, and we seek scholars who share these values and can incorporate them into their scholarship, teaching, and service.

    • Assistant Professor - Climate Science in UMass Boston

      The School for the Environment (SFE) at the University of Massachusetts Boston (UMB) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Climate Science to begin September 1, 2026. We seek an innovative scientist with a strong Earth sciences background and broad training in the mathematical, physical, or engineering sciences, whose work advances understanding of climate processes and informs strategies for adaptation. Areas of research interest include (but are not limited to): climate modeling; climate impacts on Earth/environmental system functions; extremes, feedbacks, and nonlinear processes driving climate risks; climate change impacts on ecosystems, infrastructure, or communities; and quantitative and computational approaches (e.g., data analytics, AI) applied to climate challenges. We are interested in candidates who are currently working, or seek to work, across disciplines and in partnership with communities to help address the challenges of climate change.

    • Coordinator of Transfer Initiatives and TAP (Temporary/part-time) in UMass Lowell

      Under the direction of the Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, the Coordinator of Transfer Initiatives manages day-to-day operations of the Transfer Alliance Program (TAP), supports transfer students’ onboarding and success, and coordinates the Peer Ally program in collaboration with the TAP Faculty Director. The coordinator partners across Admissions, CLASS/Advising, Career Services, the Registrar, the colleges, and community college partners to deliver a smooth transfer experience, keep communications clear and timely, and monitor outcomes. This is currently being offered as a part-time position of 18.5 hours/week, grant-funded until October 31, 2026, with the possibility for renewal.

    • Director - Integrated Security in UMass Lowell

      The University’s Integrated Security office is responsible for oversight of critical university-wide security systems and emergency communication systems. These systems include the university’s card access system, video management system, intrusion and fire systems, mass notification, and public safety radio system. As the principal integrated security engineer, the Director provides direction to maximize the effectiveness of various security systems within the university. Project management is a key component of this position ensuring that design standards are updated and communicated, and new installations are managed. Additionally, this position oversees day-to-day systems administration as well as the maintenance and repair of critical security equipment including the coordination of university vendors, and working closely with various departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
