Assistant Professor- (School for the Environment) SFE - Dean's Office
The School for the Environment at the University of Massachusetts Boston is seeking candidates for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Remote Sensing to begin September 1, 2025. We seek an interdisciplinary scholar who applies remote sensing of global and regional processes to assess the impacts of climate change, land use, and/or urban development. Experience at multiple scales from satellite remote sensing to individual drones, and from real-time assessment to historical and predictive changes is preferred. The successful candidate will be expected have teaching interests in remote sensing, spatial analysis, and statistics.

Assistant Professor (Race, Class, and Politics in Public Education) Curriculum & Instruction
The Department of Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) in the University of Massachusetts Boston’s College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) seeks applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor in the Curriculum and Instruction department. to begin on September 1, 2025. Of particular interest are candidates with scholarly expertise in race, class, and politics in public education. Specifically, we seek collaborative and equity-minded candidates whose research contributes to our understanding of how race, class and politics impact curriculum and the educational outcomes of urban children from pre-k to 12. This includes expertise on how teachers learn about and navigate these issues in the urban classroom for students at all educational levels. Scholars with expertise in community engaged scholarship that leads to the creation of community focused curricula for understanding antiracist practices in PK-12 schools are preferred.

Of particular interest are social science scholars, whose research agenda and practice focuses on the process of improving the terms on which individuals and groups participate in society and realize well-being, with attention to the transformation of social, economic, political, legal, or cultural institutions and structures. We are specifically interested in candidates whose scholarly agenda adds a local US focus within Human Rights and Law, especially in Critical Race Theory and its related branches such as Latinas/os/x Critical Race Theory (LatCrit); Tribal Critical Race Theory (Tribal Crit), complementing the regional expertise of faculty in the School. Preference will be given to candidates who can bridge local and global human rights law and who employ critical quantitative methods.

Assistant Professor (Marine Ecology) Biology
The Biology Department in the College of Science and Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts Boston seeks to hire an Assistant Professor in the field of Marine Ecology to begin September 1, 2025. Successful candidates will be expected to undertake externally funded research in marine ecology defined broadly and to satisfy important teaching needs of the Department of Biology in ecology, zoology, conservation biology, and/or evolution. Assistant Professor (Art & Art History) Art
The Art and Art History Department in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning September 1, 2025 in the area of Printmaking and will oversee our spacious, state of the art printmaking facility and to teach key courses in our studio art curriculum— undergraduate intaglio and relief printing processes. The print studio has three presses, including a new Takach Etching press. The applicant should be an artist with a record of creative practice in print and a working knowledge of related art forms such as digital printmaking, photography, drawing and book arts. Knowledge of contemporary approaches to printmaking and its art historical significance is also essential.
