Clinical Lecturer Nursing
UMass Boston invites applications for a clinical lecturer who will hold non-tenure track faculty position in the Department of Nursing. Candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate courses online and face-to-face the areas and courses based upon expertise and department needs.
Lecturer (School Counseling) Couns. School Psych. & Sport
The School Counseling (SC) program at the University of Massachusetts Boston seeks an equity minded lecturer (non-tenure track) to join the Counseling, School Psychology, and Sport Department within the College of Education and Human Development. Responsibilities include: (1) teach graduate level courses; (2) advise graduate students; (3) assist in the recruitment and selection of new students; and 4) contribute service to the University’s urban mission, to University and Departmental committees, and to professional associations. The SC program is accredited by the Masters in Psychology and Counseling Accreditation Council (MPCAC) for the period of September 2024 through September 2032. Students enrolled receive instruction to prepare students for licensure in Massachusetts.
Clinical Social Worker Health Services
The full-time Staff Clinical Social Worker for University Health Services Counseling Center will provide high quality, time- effective, evidence-based and culturally responsive clinical services, including: triage; emergency and crisis intervention services; referrals and evaluations; as well as individual and group counseling and psychotherapy. The incumbent will manage a caseload so as to serve the maximum number of students who are appropriate for services at the University Health Services Counseling Center; and will consult with and/or make timely and appropriate mental health referrals for students as needed. The incumbent will also participate with outreach and supervision/training activities. The position is a full time (12 months) and benefitted one. This is a hybrid position which includes in-person and tele-counseling/remote work, and unique schedule options.
Associate/Full Professor - (School for the Environment) SFE - Dean's Office
The School for the Environment (SFE) at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for the position of Chair of a new academic department focusing on environmental sciences and sustainability to begin September 1, 2026. We seek an outstanding leader with organizational leadership experience and demonstrated transdisciplinary expertise in topics including but not limited to environmental science and health, climate change, environmental sustainability and management. The Chair will provide visionary leadership to co-create the new department’s mission and vision, emphasizing transdisciplinary collaboration, transparency, and excellence. We seek a candidate with experience as a department chair or other relevant academic/organizational leadership roles who can bring people together to cultivate a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration in support of the School’s broader goals.
Visiting Assistant Professor Mathematics
Robert T. Seeley Visiting Assistant Professorship The Department of Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a Robert T. Seeley Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning September 1, 2026. This is a one-year non-tenure track position which is renewable for a second year (contingent upon availability of funding and satisfactory performance). It carries a teaching load of 1-1. The research area of interest is open to all fields of pure and applied mathematics closely related to those in the department of mathematics. Candidates should be authorized to work in the United States and have received a PhD by the time the position starts, and they should show outstanding promise of research ability as well as a capacity for effective teaching.
