Robert T. Seeley Visiting Assistant Professorship

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a Robert T. Seeley Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning September 1, 2024. This is a two-year non-tenure track position, and it carries a reduced teaching load of 2-1. The research area of interest is open to all fields of pure and applied mathematics closely related to those in the Department of Mathematics. Candidates should have received a PhD by the time the position starts and should show outstanding promise of research ability as well as a capacity for effective teaching. To apply, the candidate must send a cover letter, curriculum vitae, completed American Mathematical Society cover sheet, brief statement of current research plans, brief statement on teaching and four letters of recommendation (at least one of which should address the candidate’s teaching abilities).
