Research Assistant Ctr for Social Devel & Ed
The Research Assistant (RA) for the Center for Social Development and Education (CSDE) will provide project coordination and research support for exciting and dynamic research and program evaluation related to youth with intellectual disabilities. The RA will work with a team of researchers on projects focusing on school belonging, attitudes and perceptions of disability, social inclusion of students with disabilities in schools, and social identity development in children and adolescents. Under the supervision of the Project Director, and as part of the larger research and evaluation team, the RA will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of one or more projects and assist in study design and data collection. The RA will also be expected to help prepare written reports, conference presentations, and journal articles summarizing study findings. Early Childhood Lead Coach Institute for Early Education
The Early Childhood Lead Coach will be responsible for the delivery of coaching services as part of the leadership coaching team at the Institute for Early Education Leadership and Innovation and its grant funded projects with the MA Department of Early Education and Care.

The Simulation Lab Manager,in the Center for Clinical Education and Research (CCER), is responsible for managing the daily operations of the CCER nursing laboratory. The incumbent will hire, orient and supervise work study students; will be responsible for the set-up and breakdown of graduate and undergraduate lab sections; will monitor competency testing results and all tutoring services. Assistant Director-Financial Aid Loan Manager Financial Aid Office
The Assistant Director is responsible for all aspects of the student loan programs including, but not limited to, loan certification, payment authorization, and program reconciliations. The Assistant Director oversees student loan reconciliation with the Department of Education and the Bursar’s Office. Loan programs include, but are not limited to, Federal Direct Student Loan, Federal Direct Parent Plus Loan, Perkins Loan, Mass Education Finance Authority, and other alternative loan programs.
Associate Director of Student Financial Aid Financial Aid Office
The Associate Director of Financial Aid is part of the Financial Aid Operations Team reporting to the Sr. Associate Director of Operations. The incumbent will assist the Senior Associate Director of Operations in implementing and managing technologies that support the objectives of Financial Aid Services, as well as design technical solutions that will allow the university to stay compliant with new and changing federal and state regulations.

The Senior Associate Director of Operations will direct and manage all technical business processes and functions of the Financial Aid Services (FAS) office. The incumbent will direct and manage the use of technology within FAS and will work to capitalize on the use of technology to support and enhance the business functions of FAS, as well as to support and enhance the objectives of the Enrollment Management Division in promoting sound business practices that assist in the recruitment and retention of students.
Director of Finance Institute Community Inclusion
The Director of Finance will provide high-level strategic leadership and support for the financial and administrative goals of the School for Global Inclusion and Social Development (SGISD) and its institutes, including the Institute for Community Inclusion (ICI) and the Institute for New England Native American Studies (INENAS). The incumbent will have authority and responsibility over all aspects of the financial management and operations of the Institute and School, including grants management, managing the budget and accounting functions for the units; and will provide overall leadership, direction and assistance in budgetary preparation. The incumbent will analyze a variety of financial information; provide direction and support in making yearly spending recommendations while maximizing the use of funds; and for ensuring overall operations are within the unit’s budget.

The Venture Development Center (VDC) is a professional, dynamic, efficient, and sustainable strategic business development center. By attracting and leveraging resources and expertise, the VDC builds innovative entrepreneurial collaborations between UMass Boston and industry sectors and assists faculty, staff and students, no matter what university they attended, to transfer promising technologies into new commercial enterprises. Special Assistant to the Vice Chancellor of Athletics & Recreation Athletics
This is a 12-month full-time administrative appointment, reporting directly to Vice Chancellor of Athletics and Recreation (VCAR) with dotted reporting lines to the Deputy Athletic Director for Internal Administration and Operations/Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) and Deputy Athletic Director for Strategic Initiatives. This position provides complex administrative support to the VCAR and the executive operations. Additionally, this position will develop, coordinate, implement and manage effective and data-informed communication strategies and practices specific to committees, projects and initiatives as assigned by the VCAR. This position is involved in planning, facilitating and/or coordinating department-wide initiatives, projects and committees. Working independently or collaboratively with the VC of Athletics and Recreation/Department Head, Deputy Athletic Directors, athletics leadership team and staff/coaches and/or constituents across campus, this position organizes, supports and coordinates activities and projects that advance the initiatives, needs and goals of the department. General responsibilities also include the development, supervision and management of a student worker administrative support team to ensure appropriate office coverage, customer service and internal departmental responsiveness and the coordination of business meeting meals (Division-Wide, senior leadership, team dinners, staff/coach gatherings). This person is expected to work collaboratively with student leadership, internal groups, campus-wide departments and organizations, and demonstrate a working knowledge of sound budget management skills. This person will also work closely and at times with direction from the Deputy Athletic Director for Internal Administration/SWA and Operations and Deputy Athletic Director for Strategic Initiatives in support of department-wide project work. Associate Lecturer- (Biology) Biology
The Biology Department is seeking candidates with strong interests in teaching to join our faculty beginning September 1, 2024, for two non-tenure track Associate Lecturer appointments. We are seeking candidates to teach an introductory-level Biology lecture and laboratory course for Biology majors. Although the positions are for the Fall semester, there is the possibility of extending the appointment to later semesters. The General Biology course covers introductory cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and genetics. In the Fall semesters, the course typically enrolls about 350 students
Report Writer Student Admnistrator Registrar's Office
The Report Writer, Student Administration is responsible for running and providing system reporting for the Registrar’s Office. Working with the Summit Reporting System (and other systems as required), the incumbent will act as a subject matter expert on all student records tables within the student data system; and will redesign, troubleshoot and revise queries/reports within the system to identify and implement the needs of the consumer, to ensure that the area of student records will interact with various university systems and will provide concise student data reporting for advisors, faculty and Deans. S/he will also conduct and serve as the point person for the training of employees both within the Registrar’s Office and campus-wide for existing Summit reporting. The Report Writer for Student Administration will act as a consultant on data processing to other departments within the university and will determine suitable programs and/or systems to meet departmental specific needs. The incumbent will work closely with the Registrar regarding progress, challenges, successes and concerns that arise regarding the development of requested reports.
Director Data Integration VC for Info Technology and CIO
Reporting to the Vice Chancellor of Information and Chief Information Office, the Director of Data Integration develops and maintains efficient and high-quality data integrations (connecting data, applications and third parties) that support business processes and customer needs by identifying, defining, selecting, and optimizing all Information Technology data integrations to ensure alignment with institutional strategic goals and priorities. The Director exercises considerable independent judgment in accomplishing the work of the Data Integration Office and is responsible for achieving desired results and managing major data integration projects and related tasks in tandem with other units and/or independently.

This position also holds a full-time tenured faculty position at the rank of Full Professor in the Department of Gerontology to begin on September 1, 2024. Assistant Director of Athletics & Sports Communication Athletics
The Assistant Director of Athletics for Sports Communication provides leadership in the areas of athletic communications, as well as media and public relations for UMass Boston athletics and the nineteen (19) National Athletic Collegiate Association (NCAA) Division III intercollegiate programs. The incumbent is responsible for the overall supervision, organization and management of the Sports Information Office and public relations functions of the department including the development, coordination, and implementation of effective communication strategies and initiatives that create recognition of the achievements, programs, teams and participants. The Assistant Director of Athletics for Sports Communication will serve as the main representative to all visiting game day officials, opponents, and any outside media outlets that may come to campus; and will also serve as the main contact for all communications game day employees and the primary contact for officials and any outside parties.
