Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate Professor in Mathematics at UMass Boston 

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure-track (non-tenured) position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor beginning September 1, 2020. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related field, with the research area of interest open to all fields of mathematics.  Candidates are expected to have a proven record in coordinating the implementation of effective pedagogical methods, in addition to a strong research program. The successful hire will play a central role in the coordination, assessment, and restructuring of the department’s lower division courses and contribute to other departmental and college service. To apply, please submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, completed American Mathematical Society cover sheet, statement of current research plans, statement on teaching philosophy including experience in coordinating introductory mathematics courses, and three letters of recommendation (at least one of which should address the candidate’s teaching and coordinating abilities).
