The primary responsibilities of the CSM Machine Shop Manager in the College of Science and Mathematics (CSM) are to launch the CSM Machine Shop after its relocation and to ensure its uninterrupted and sustainable operations. The Machine Shop Manager is responsible for fulfilling the equipment-related needs of the CSM research and teaching enterprise with special consideration for other units of the University as appropriate. The CSM Machine Shop Manager works closely with CSM faculty, research-related staff, and graduate students to design, machine, and construct one-of-a-kind scientific instruments and mechanical devices. The Machine Shop Manager is also responsible for ensuring that the Machine Shop operates in compliance with all applicable standards, laws, and regulations.
