Assistant Professor (Inorganic Materials) Chemistry
The College of Science & Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Inorganic Chemistry in the Chemistry Department to begin September 1, 2025. Applicants must have a PhD in chemistry, or a related scientific field, with a track record in experimental inorganic chemistry, broadly defined. The successful candidate is expected to establish a highly productive, externally-funded, research program. Candidates whose scientific interests complement those of existing faculty within the Department and College, and who can develop cross-disciplinary collaborations, are preferred. Our department offers multiple PhD tracks in chemistry, as well as MS, ACS-accredited BS, and BA degrees in Chemistry. Athletic Trainer Athletics
The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for providing preventative measures, acute care, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries to intercollegiate student-athletes at UMass Boston. The incumbent will be responsible for providing athletic training services as directed by the Head Athletic Trainer to the University’s 19 NCAA Division III varsity athletic programs who compete in the Little East and New England Hockey Conferences. This includes, but is not limited to, managing potentially catastrophic, acute, and chronic athletic injuries within the scope of practice for athletic training, to include rehabilitation and return-to-play decisions. This position is expected to collaborate with the Head Athletic Trainer, and if necessary, the team physician and/or the strength and conditioning coach. Attendance at scheduled team practices and home and away competitions as assigned by Head Athletic Trainer is required. This position will work cooperatively with student-athletes, coaches, and athletic department staff. The incumbent is also responsible for maintaining the standards for the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA).
Digital Communications Editor Communications
The Communications Specialist is a member of the university’s central Office of Communications and participates in all activities of the office, including developing and writing news stories for the website and university publications, monitoring media coverage and compiling news clips for circulation, serving as a communications liaison to various colleges and administrative divisions, and working closely with the Web Services team and other departments to assist in the development and implementation of strategies that enhance the public presentation of news and information about the university. The Communications Specialist will also support the university’s social media presence and other efforts to enhance the university’s digital presence.
Major Gifts Officer VC-University Advancement
Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor of Principal & Leadership Gifts and Director of Comprehensive Campaign, the Major Gifts Officer is primarily responsible for developing managing, implementing, and overseeing strategies for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of approximately 100-125 prospective leadership gift donors. The Major Gifts Officer will create individualized solicitation plans leading to major outright and deferred gifts of $25,000+, integrating unrestricted and restricted gifts, endowment, annual and capital gifts in support of University fund raising priorities. Responsibilities will most significantly include the identification, cultivation and solicitation of new prospects for the University. The Major Gifts Officer will serve as a fundraiser for University-wide targeted initiatives and will work closely with colleagues in University Advancement, Dean’s, faculty and senior administrators in developing and implementing key fund-raising strategies and activities.

Assistant Professor (Quantum Information Science) Physics
The Department of Physics in the College of Science and Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applicants for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor to pursue a research program focusing on experimental research in the fields of Quantum Information Science to begin September 1, 2025. We will prioritize candidates whose research complements existing strengths in theoretical Quantum Science and Technology research within the department. Candidates whose research also has potential overlap with experimental research in the department (as an example: applications of quantum sensing to biophysics) are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant is expected to establish an externally funded research program, direct the research of students at the doctoral, masters, and undergraduate levels, and interact effectively with colleagues within the Physics Department and across the College of Science and Mathematics. The successful applicant will also be expected to teach and further develop the Quantum Information Certificate program we have established at UMass Boston. Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent degree and relevant postdoctoral research experience.
Department Grant Administrator III Institute Community Inclusion
The Departmental Grant Administrator (DGA) is a three-level series that supports the Institute for Community Inclusion and the School for Global Inclusion and Social Development. This series will provide routine oversight and management of the research grant portfolios of multiple Principal Investigators (PIs) by researching, preparing, and monitoring externally funded grants, contracts and cooperative agreements. The Departmental Grant Administrator will be responsible for account maintenance; processing personnel actions; forecasting, expenditure reporting, as well as account allocations; and maintaining grant records in compliance with university and research sponsor policies. The incumbents will work closely with each PI on all aspects of the administration of his/her research project, including provision of analysis and modifications and assisting with special projects, when needed. The Departmental Grant Administrator will work in collaboration with the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) and other central administrative units at the University; and may supervise other grants administration staff. This position may be held remotely for well-qualified candidates.
Assistant Professor- (Electrical Engineering) /Power Systems Engineering

Program Manager Gaston Institute
The Project Manager, within the Mauricio Gaston Institute for Latino Community Development and Public Policy, will be responsible for the oversight and monitoring of grant activities related to the Mass Department of Health, BSAS grant-funded project “Understanding the Substance Use/Addiction- Related Needs of BIPOC and other Priority Populations” working in close partnership with the principal Investigators at the Gastón Institute, the Institute for Asian American Studies, and the Trotter Institute. Senior Research Associate Gerontology Institute
The LeadingAge LTSS Center @UMass Boston in the Gerontology Institute was created to combine the expertise of applied and academic researchers with the unique perspectives of providers and consumers of long-term services and supports (LTSS). The center conducts research aimed at transforming the way LTSS are financed, delivered, and experienced by older adults and their families. The Center conducts research and analysis, and works with policymakers and practitioners to advance innovation and quality improvements in policy and practice. To that end, the LTSS Center conducts research to advance issues in six major LTSS areas including: Workforce; Housing with services; Nursing homes; Financing; Aging and health; and Consumer engagement. Over the seven years, the LTSS Center has become a leading thought leader on issues affecting the financing and delivery of services to older Americans in need of LTSS services. The LTSS Center also braids together threads of community engagement, student training, and scholarship to create a fun and collaborative place to work. The Senior Research Associate within the LTSS Center will be responsible for a variety of research-related activities including (1) initiating and assisting in the development of new research projects; (2) developing publications, blogs, webinars, and other dissemination activities to publicize the Center’s research findings; (3) provide project management support for various research initiatives in the Center; (4) collaborate with researchers in both the Boston and Washington, DC Offices, and (5) independently manage specific research projects. Assistant Professor (Marine Ecology) Biology

Assistant Professor (Data Science and Applied Mathematics) Mathematics

Manager Fitness Athletics
The Fitness and Wellness Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and administration of a culturally-centered and comprehensive fitness program within the Recreation Department of the Division of Athletics and Recreation that reflects the diversity of the campus. The Manager ensures the needs of all members, including students, faculty, staff and community are well served by offering group fitness, personal training, small group training, fitness outreach, and specialized programs. The Manager is also responsible for the management of the fitness staff and equipment.
