The Graduate Clinical Nursing Program at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a full-time 12-month position beginning academic year 2019 - 2020 as a Non-Tenure Track Clinical Associate/Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Nursing of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CNHS). Responsibilities include: (1) serving as Coordinator of the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Track (Master’s, Post Master’s and Post Baccalaureate Doctor of Nursing Practice FNP students); (2) teaching graduate-level courses; (3) advising graduate students; (4) assisting in the recruitment and selection of new students; (5) contributing to CNHS’s scholarship as a member of the Scholarship of Practice Faculty, and 6) providing service to university, college, and departmental committees, and to professional associations. The Coordinator of the FNP track works closely with the Clinical and Internship Placement Office (CIPO), and is directly supervised by the Graduate Program Director.

Typically, full-time Non-Tenure Track faculty teach 12-credits per semester. Each semester that you are coordinator, you will receive a 6-credit load reduction.  There will also be an additional 3-credit load reduction either the fall or the spring every academic year to facilitate the production and dissemination of scholarship.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include either a Ph.D. or Doctorate in Nursing Practice and current unencumbered certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (or eligible for licensure); recent clinical practice experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Higher education experience in teaching and coordinating a nurse practitioner program to include hiring and evaluating faculty performance.
